“JTF Operations Increases Oil Production Output To 2m Barrel Per Day”

Authorities of the Joint Task Force (JTF) code named Operation Delta Safe, a special security outfit, fighting criminalities in the Niger Delta region, weekend disclosed that some of its operations led to a huge increase of daily oil production from 900bpd to over two million currently being explored in the region.

The Commander of the JTF, Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), Rear Admiral Suleiman Apochi, who made this at the weekend in Yenagoa while receiving an award of excellence from the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), inoted that when he took over more than two years ago, militancy and vandalism had cut oil production by about a third.

Marines seize ASG speed boat

Government troops seized a speed boat used by the notorious Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in the island of Simisa, Sulu on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

A military report disclosed that the relentless and continuous joint operation conducted by the Marine Battalion Landing Team – 3, Naval Task Group/Philippine Marine Ready Force – Sulu, and Joint Task Force-Sulu resulted in the recovery of the speedboat believed to be the “get-away” vessel of the notorious Abu Sayyaf Group in the island of Simisa, Sulu.

Crude Oil Theft: JTF Takes Over Six Suspects, Seven Boats From Navy

The Joint Task Force (JTF) codenamed Operation Delta Safe (OPDS) has taken over six suspected oil thieves and seven loaded Cotonou boats from the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS Delta), Warri, for further investigation.

During the handing over ceremony at the NNS Delta’s base in Warri, its Commander, Commodore Ibrahim Dewu disclosed that the suspects were arrested with products believed to be illegally refined diesel, also known as AGO, estimated to be 540,000 liters.
